How does Dial Hours work?

Dial Hours allows you to organize your contacts into four separate and customizable profiles. When you lock each profile, Dial Hours encrypts the telephone numbers and/or email addresses for contacts in that profile and will prevent those contacts from being used.

Dial Hours is only locking phone numbers, I thought it locked emails too?
You can customize each profile to lock phone numbers, email addresses, or both. On the home screen, just click on a profile (make sure its unlocked first) and you can make your choice on what data to encrypt when the profile is locked. 



How do the alerts work?

For each profile, you can set a start and end alert to remind you of the preferred times that profile should be active. You can also choose the days of the weeks that you want the alerts to be active. For example, mid-week you want your work contacts to be unlocked, but you might want to lock them every Friday at say 6 pm. That would be the "Start" alert for your work profile. Then your "End" alert could be Monday morning at 7 am. Basically, you customize when and if you want the alerts for the profiles. 



I sync'd my phone with my computer while the profiles were locked. Now my address book is all code...what do I do?

Simple. Unlock all your profiles in your phone and re-sync to your computer. Make sure you choose to update your address book with changes from your phone! Also, its always good to backup your address book every once in a while anyways...



How do I change my Master Unlock Code?

From the Main Menu, click "Settings" and choose the Reset Code button.



How do I start over? I want to unassign all my contacts.

From the Main Menu, click "Settings" and choose the Reset All button. This will unassign all contacts from profiles and let you start from scratch. 



I forgot my Master Unlock Code, what do I do now?

You will need to delete the app from your phone and re-install it. This should allow you to create a new Master Unlock Code and de-encrypt any contacts that were left encrypted. Simply re-assign any contacts that were left encoded to a profile, Lock and then Unlock that profile and your contact information is restored. 



What are the limitations of Dial Hours?

Apple doesn’t allow apps to control phone functions, Dial Hours can only separate numbers from your address book. SO, your phone will still be able to call/email/text and receive from locked contacts (if you can remember their numbers/emails), there just will not be a name associated with the number/email address. Previous texts and emails will also still be there, just not the contact names. Delete any conversations or call logs you really don’t want to have access to the contact information.



I accident set the Time Lock for 3 days and cannot unlock my profile. How do I get back in?

The Time Lock function is a self-control check (staying away from work on the weekends or having a Do Not Call list when you're out late night). Only use it when you ABSOLUTELY do not want to be able to unlock a profile for a period of time. However, if you do need to get back in, you can use the Reset All function under Settings to wipe the slate clean. However, by using this, you lose all your profile settings as well and must reassign all contacts.
